Charlie created Metis Design & Engineering in 2014. Operating as a sole trader at the time, the quality of his work, his professional and can-do attitude as well as his focus on client’s satisfaction have established the strong foundations that enabled the company’s growth and success.
Charlie holds a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Machine Design and FEA Simulation and was elected as a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia (Mechanical College) in 2013.
Steve joined the team in 2017 and his efficiency, reliability and thoroughness have quickly contributed to our company’s success. Having previously worked for larger engineering consultancies, Steve brings in a wealth of knowledge and expertise in design verification, FEA and a thorough understanding of many Australian Design Standards such as AS3990, AS1664, AS1657… which further strengthen the company’s capabilities in these areas. As well as experience in agricultural and industrial sectors, Steve has extensive experience in the Marine industry gained through practical experience and post-graduate study. Steve’s experience in this area further expands Metis’ areas of operation.
Mordy joined Metis Design & Engineering in 2016. He is an excellent mechanical engineer with a strong background in Research & Development, 3D Modelling and Product Design. His extensive knowledge in manufacturing processes brings a wide scope of design capability to the team. But the most valuable aspect of Mordy’s profile is his strong knowledge and experience in Mechatronics which allows us to offer more complete solutions to our clients.
Peter joined Metis Design & Engineering in 2018 as a freshly graduated mechanical engineer with a Master of Philosophy in the same field. He has shown himself to be an enthusiastic team member, with a positive, professional attitude and a passion for sustainable engineering solutions. A continuous learner, Peter has quickly taken to each new project with determination and perseverance, honing his FEA & 3D modelling skills in the process. His background includes experience with CFD simulations which were the basis of his post-graduate thesis, Research & Development and power tool design. Peter’s knowledge further expands the capabilities and services available from Metis D&E.
